Excellent pressing. Extremely quiet with superb dynamics. My sole gripe is that the jacket is ridiculously thin, meant to hold two LPs but isn't a gatefold. I'd have liked a thicker gatefold and maybe a smaller booklet. It shouldn't have been hard to do for the record's price.
Superbly quiet pressing, fantastic sound - a well-deserved reissue to honor the 20-year mark of this album.
This album resonates with me in the same way as “The Joshua Tree”. Both are regarded as the pinnacle of U2's discography. They both kick off with their biggest hits, but by the fifth track, my attention starts to wander. Sure, the singles are fantastic, but beyond that, there's not much that truly captivates me. However, over time, I've grown to appreciate the depth of these songs, particularly “Peace On Earth”, which, since this album dropped before Christmas 2000, I consider a unique holiday track (I know it wasn't intended that way, but that's how I view it). The real gem of this package is the bonus content, especially the live performance. I know this album is considered U2's comeback, but sadly, it also marks the beginning of them playing it safe. It's a bit disheartening to see the end of their 90's alternative/experimental phase. 3 stars for the album, 5 stars for this deluxe edition.
The sound quality on my cassette is as clear and vibrant as it gets, with fantastic dynamics.
Fantastic record quality, super quiet. I first picked up this album when it launched 20 years back. Adored it then, adore it now. Thrilled to have it in my vinyl lineup!
