incredible tunes and production, this is surely one of the top free jazz and avant-garde jazz records out there
Delighted to see this received the Tone Poet touch! Here's hoping it opens doors for some wilder picks like Eddie Gale.
The horns have a very lively, authentic sound. The bass, however, could use a bit more depth. The pressing is decent - my copy has a few clicks on side A, likely due to a tiny scratch.
Total connection-that's this album in a nutshell. Connection-of souls, of open minds, of improvisation, of emotions. Four musicians, yet one spirit. Connection-an awakening first for the intellect then for the senses. A genuine revolution, back in the day they dubbed it FREE JAZZ.....
Incredible, this album is absolutely fantastic! It's so creative and captivating, no wonder it's so highly praised. The sound quality of this pressing is superb: you can really pick out the bass and drums, for instance. I'm no music expert, so I'll just say this pressing is brilliant. Quite a thrilling experience, and well worth the cost.
