Absolutely stunning album! A must-have for any collection. It even includes a CD tucked inside the sleeve. A real treat!

  • U.S. Mixes Mislabelled

    5 out of 5 stars
    hafzuywueve24 July 2025United States🇺🇸

Track 14 on CD2, "Shy Boy (U.S. Dub)", isn't the same as the version on the U.S. 12" Promo. It's a small difference, but I spotted it and thought I'd mention it here. The first four snare hits on this track are more like the original UK album/single version, with a lot of reverb. The actual Dub Mix on the U.S. 12" starts with four snare hits, but there's barely any reverb. This seems to have been fixed for the 2015 "In A Bunch" CD singles box set. The U.S. Dub on the "Shy Boy" CD-Single has the right "dry" snare intro. Also, a minor mistake, Track 3 on CD2 "Shy Boy (U.S. 7" Mix)" is mislabeled. It's actually a shorter version of the John Luongo mix made for the U.S. market, and it was used as the LP version in the U.S. So this track should be called "Shy Boy (U.S. LP Mix)". The actual 7" single released in the U.S. had the original UK LP/Single version of "Shy Boy". I recall, being a 12-year-old at the time, being a big fan of the album and then being surprised by a completely different mix when I got the "Shy Boy" 7" single. Of course, I didn't know then that the (new to me) 7" mix was actually the ORIGINAL version of the song. Similarly, Track 2 on CD2 "Really Sayin' Somethin' (U.S. 7" Mix)" is a shorter version of the John Luongo commissioned remix. This is indeed the mix on the U.S. 7" single, but it is ALSO the mix that was used on the original LP release of "Deep Sea Skiving" in the U.S. instead of the original UK version. When "Deep Sea Skiving" was released on CD in the U.S., the original U.K. mix of "Really Saying Something" replaced the John Longo mix.

  • Timeless Debut Album

    4 out of 5 stars
    SwifCinUU22 March 2025United States🇺🇸

One of the top debut albums from its time - it still stands up remarkably well. The mastering is a tad harsh, but that's just a result of the production style back then. As usual, the Japan release is completely silent with fantastic resolution artwork.

  • Cash-Grab Disappointment

    2 out of 5 stars
    VtitKidII3 March 2025United States🇺🇸

Just another cash-grab release. The artwork's low quality, and the mastering/pressing is subpar. Don't be fooled by appearances; they don't guarantee quality. Keep your cash and grab a original Japan version instead.
