The songs on this album sound great. It's pretty good overall. There are some standout tracks and a few that aren't as strong.
In my opinion, this is Morrissey's finest album in quite some time (I must admit, I'm a fan of all his work). The quality of this pressing is superb, and I've been playing it non-stop.
Some noise between songs and in the quieter parts, which is a bummer. I do enjoy the album, but it's not as crisp as I'd hoped. The instruments lack that extra spark, sounding a bit dull, but overall, it's still a solid record.
This album sits right at the cutting edge of music, with electronic touches so subtle they hint at a bleak future where the artist might create such sounds. Produced by Joe Chicarelli; flawless, clear, sporadic. It's an artistic, exploratory, and contemporary pop rock record with excellent taste. Here's hoping the other albums not included in the deal see the light of day, whether through a label or independently.
I purchased my sealed version but it skips on song one (perhaps dust or somethin' else)..I frequently have this issue with new records...On the cover there's a sticker sayin' “new album” in red (check Discogs for more info) but the vinyl is black not red..
