Who could ever erase "Whole Lotta Rosie" from their memory? If you've caught one of their latest shows, you definitely won't. They've got this massive inflatable Rosie that jams along with the tunes. It's a hilarious yet slightly terrifying sight, with Rosie towering at around 30ft tall. I'm head over heels for this album since it's packed with a rebellious and playful spirit.
This is hands down the baddest Bon Scott-era album. The rough, unpolished production is absolutely perfect for tracks like LET THERE BE ROCK & HELL AIN'T A BAD PLACE. It's just an incredible, hard-rocking experience! The audio quality is solid, with a great distinction between the lead and rhythm guitars.
EQ sounds weak, bass is nonexistent, soundstage feels closed in, really lets the music and band down, quite a letdown to listen to
The audio quality of this version is absolutely fantastic. It's definitely one of my top vinyl purchases.
Allen did the mastering on this one. It's not as thorough as the (UK) Strawberry version, but it's still a solid release.
