Product Description

This LP is pressed on White, Pink vinyl.

Boris, the Japanese experimental rock band known for their genre-defying sound, presents "Pink," a sonic journey released on May 16, 2006, under the label Fangsanalsatan. This album is a testament to Boris' versatility, blending sludge metal, noise rock, drone, doom metal, stoner rock, shoegaze, and post-rock into a cohesive and captivating experience. Spanning 47 minutes, "Pink" features 11 tracks that showcase the band's ability to seamlessly transition between heavy, crushing riffs and ethereal, atmospheric soundscapes.

The album opens with "Farewell," setting the tone with a slow, heavy drone that builds into a powerful crescendo. "Pink" and "Woman on the Screen" continue the exploration of textured soundscapes, while "Nothing Special" and "Blackout" delve into the heavier, more aggressive side of Boris' repertoire. "Electric" and "Pseudo Bread" offer a mix of both, with driving rhythms and soaring melodies. "Afterburner" and "Six, Three Times" showcase the band's ability to create intricate, layered compositions that are both complex and accessible. The album concludes with "My Machine" and "Just Abandoned Myself," leaving the listener with a sense of both resolution and anticipation.

"Pink" is a must-listen for fans of experimental and heavy music, offering a rich and varied sonic landscape that highlights Boris' unique blend of genres and styles. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to their music, "Pink" is an album that demands to be heard.

  • Stylish Jacket Release

    5 out of 5 stars
    yotetvesak7vy26 November 2025United States🇺🇸

this sounds real nice. the inner part of the jacket's got this semi-gloss pink print, and the records themselves are quite marbly and good-looking, though the pics here don't do it justice. the outside of the jacket's a raw stock finish, so it'd probably get messed up by any kinda water damage, but it looks alright. and the inserts are awesome, they come in a small envelope and they're even perforated just right. overall, it's a great release, definitely worth grabbing if you can snag it at a good price.

  • Bass Boosted Vinyl Pressing

    5 out of 5 stars
    cuziwusel15 November 2025United States🇺🇸

With streaming services, you can already experience a good amount of depth in the mid-low frequencies, but this particular pressing takes it up a notch — the bass feels more grounded, and the overall impact is on another level, almost like a heavy-duty vehicle. Employing a thick conical stylus, like the M44-7, really brings out a remarkable sense of solidity and heft, even though it does make the soundstage a tad more confined.

  • Stunning Pressing, Minor Mastering Flaw

    4 out of 5 stars
    aofmup9 November 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

This pressing is fantastic, absolutely stunning to look at, some tracks have that super gritty and raw sound (as someone else mentioned in their review), I think that was done on purpose, but honestly, I wish Farewell had been mastered a bit differently, even though it's a great album. Just Abandoned Myself sounds flawless and that noisy outro is literally perfect. For now, I'll rate this pressing 4/5, maybe after a few more listens I'll change my mind. I really like the packaging, but I was a bit confused at first, I wanted to cut the sticker on the back in half, but then I hit something thick and realized I was supposed to just tear it off. So don't make the same mistake I did!

  • Overrated Stoned Jam Band

    1 out of 5 stars
    0t2b6p13 November 2025United States🇺🇸

I honestly can't comprehend why this band or album was so highly praised. It's just that sort of directionless, barely passable stoned jam nonsense you could hear from any one of 10,000 bands in a practice space literally as I'm writing this, but because they were from Japan, there was some sort of novelty or exotic appeal to it, so everyone just decided to pretend they were actually good when they weren't.

This thing sounds absolutely incredible...in the best way imaginable!!! Grab it now before it's gone and becomes overpriced
