  • Love It or Hate It

    5 out of 5 stars
    NXJ_518829 December 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

This album is a love-it-or-hate-it kind of deal, leaving no room for apathy. The only folks who might rate it a "0" are those who genuinely feel nothing when they listen to it. If you're on either end of the spectrum, love or hate, give it a five-star rating because you're experiencing the sheer power of this album to evoke intense emotions. I'm absolutely in love with it; it's my favorite Aphex Twin album. One of the best releases from Warp, and that girl/boy banter between beatbox and violins? One of the greatest moments in music history, hands down. That said, I get why some people might hate this album, especially DJs. It's a nightmare to mix, but who said electronic music is only about mixing?

  • Rare Reissue Sounds Stunning

    5 out of 5 stars
    JziHyozqAmh12 November 2025United States🇺🇸

Incredible sounding reissue. Sharp, clear, and full of life. No hiss or pops. Stunning. Snag a copy while they're still up for grabs in the US. They were becoming quite rare around these parts until this recent reissue. Frustratingly tough and costly to get before.

  • Growing Appreciation for Album

    5 out of 5 stars
    Gufftuf2 November 2025United States🇺🇸

Initially, this album was just alright when I first gave it a spin. The standout tracks were pretty clear, like '4'. After a few more listens, something clicked. Suddenly, I got it. The whole album is beautiful, start to finish. I'm not sure if the version with the Girl/Boy single is included here, but that's the one I've got. It's quite pleasant, really. Alongside the monumental '4', one of my favorites is "Carn Mouth", or is it "Corn Mouth"? I'm really fond of "Fingerbib" too, it oddly reminds me of a theme song from some futuristic Japanese action flick. The magic of this album lies in its subtle shifts, though that's even more apparent in his "I Care Because You Do". Not that that makes one better than the other, both are really quite good.

  • Aphex Twin's Remix Triumph

    5 out of 5 stars
    Zintuqjic5 October 2025United States🇺🇸

Richard D. James has outdone himself once again! Okay, he did that about half a decade ago, but with the new Girl/Boy remixes, this album has reached its peak, surpassing the greatness it already possessed.

  • Timeless Classic Album

    5 out of 5 stars
    buobegapaeretowiyy16 July 2025United States🇺🇸

This album is a true classic and has become a classic addition to my collection. Without a doubt, it's one of the top three best-sounding albums I have.
