Product Description

This 2014 Reissue 3LP set is pressed on 180g vinyl.

Step back in time with Cream's electrifying live album, "Royal Albert Hall London May 2-3-5-6 2005." Captured over four legendary nights in May 2005, this album is a testament to the enduring power and influence of Cream, one of the most iconic bands of the classic rock era. The band's dynamic interplay between Eric Clapton, Jack Bruce, and Ginger Baker is on full display, delivering a potent mix of blues rock, psychedelic rock, and acid rock that defined their sound.

The album spans a full 111 minutes, featuring extended, high-energy performances of Cream's greatest hits and deep cuts. From the raw, bluesy intensity of "Spoonful" to the psychedelic exploration of "White Room," each track showcases the band's virtuosic musicianship and improvisational prowess. The alternate take of "Sleepy Time Time" offers a unique glimpse into the band's creative process, highlighting their ability to reimagine their own material.

Recorded at the historic Royal Albert Hall, this album captures the electric atmosphere of Cream's live performances, with the band feeding off the energy of the crowd. The setlist includes fan favorites like "Crossroads," "Sunshine of Your Love," and "Born Under a Bad Sign," as well as lesser-known gems like "Pressed Rat and Warthog" and "Toad." Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to Cream's music, this album is a thrilling introduction to the band's live sound and a reminder of their lasting impact on the world of rock music.

Hearing this album today still gives me goosebumps. Attending the concert at RAH on 5-5-5 is one of my most cherished concert experiences. And this collection is fantastic, as well.

  • Live Album Delight

    4 out of 5 stars
    Fudinqbed30 May 2024United States🇺🇸

Face it, most live albums are just plain dull. They're often cash grabs that are a snooze to listen to. But this one's an exception. The trio's take on the original tunes is a delight. It's a whole new vibe from the studio versions, minus the overdubs. The sound quality's spot on, crisp and fresh, a far cry from past Cream live albums that were, let's say, less than stellar.

  • Half Speed Mastering Excellence

    5 out of 5 stars
    VIYZEKIGE7 May 2024United States🇺🇸

Incredible half speed mastering! Way better than CD quality. Highly recommended for all Cream enthusiasts.

  • Sound Quality Impressive

    samlav015014 April 2024United States🇺🇸

Wow, the sound quality on this record is top-notch!!! I'm really blown away by how great it sounds.

  • Intense but Terrible Sound

    2 out of 5 stars
    Dewarix13 April 2024United States🇺🇸

Sound quality is intense, but it's so bad, I wouldn't suggest it to no one.
