I always pick this one due to the superior production, better separation, and improved dynamics. It's less muddy than the studio version. I've got it, including the full 3-hour Troxy concert from the next day, in lossless format from a solid 'contact'.
The production and sound mix on this live album are so much better than the studio version, which was a real pain to listen to at first (I even thought it was my record player acting up or that the needle needed changing during the final track). I'm really digging the live album and doubt I'll be going back to the studio version anytime soon.
The sound quality on this record isn't squashed like the CD or digital version. I'm really enjoying it!

This live CD has swiftly taken the top spot in my collection, surpassing both the studio CD and the white vinyl. Robert Smith's vocals are crystal clear, and the recording feels less heavy than the original studio version. It's so impressive that I've already pre-ordered the live vinyl, set to release next Feb. No matter which version of this fantastic album you own, this live performance is undoubtedly The Cure's crowning achievement.
