Product Description

This is a 2023 Reissue released as a 2LP set.

Dive into the raw and powerful sounds of Skid Row's 1995 album "Subhuman Race," a testament to their enduring prowess in the realms of glam metal, glam rock, and hard rock. This 56-minute journey through 13 electrifying tracks showcases the band's signature blend of aggressive riffs, soaring vocals, and anthemic choruses that have cemented their legacy in rock history.

From the explosive opener "My Enemy" to the hauntingly beautiful "Face Against My Soul," Skid Row delivers a relentless onslaught of hard-hitting tunes that will leave you breathless. Standout tracks like "Firesign" and "Breakin' Down" highlight the band's knack for crafting infectious hooks and memorable melodies, while "Iron Will" and "Subhuman Race" showcase their heavier side, with crushing riffs and thunderous drums.

"Subhuman Race" is not just an album; it's a statement. It's a bold declaration of Skid Row's unwavering commitment to their craft and their refusal to be pigeonholed into any one genre. With its raw energy, powerful lyrics, and unforgettable hooks, this album is a must-listen for any fan of classic rock and metal. So crank up the volume and let Skid Row take you on a ride you won't soon forget.

  • Skid Row's Misguided Detour

The album's sound is alright. I wasn't ever a huge enthusiast of it, but I am a supporter of Skid Row, so I bought it back then and again now. Having said that, they truly messed up by going this way, instead of sticking with Slave to the Grind. Pantera didn't stray from their path and they turned out alright.

  • Noisy but Worth It

    5 out of 5 stars
    Virpi512 October 2025United States🇺🇸

The introducing grooves on both records of my copy are quite noisy, even more so than usual. Fortunately, once the music begins, the background noise seems to vanish entirely. There are some minor tickles, mostly between tracks, even after I gave them an ultrasonic clean. The vinyl itself is flat and looks fantastic with that cool blue and black marbled effect. As for the sound? It's really good, I'd say (bar the noise issue), Seb's voice is right up front, maybe a tad too aggressive or emphasized. And yes, both records are loud (as others have mentioned) but clear and powerful. I'd recommend buying this release. I don't have the original 1995 CD or LP to compare, but this one's worth the money, even if I was hoping for quieter vinyl (a quality control issue, sadly common in today's vinyl industry, sigh!).
