Those Synclavier tracks are insane, truly stunning. It's such a shame they mixed it with older songs, this album should've been all Synclavier compositions.
Amazing!!! It surpassed my expectations. Side 1 is phenomenal. Side 2 made me feel like I was actually in the studio. Side 3 is unbelievable for a live recording (Tracks 1 & 3), and of course, the Synclavier (Track 2) is once again, mind-blowing.
Happy to see more posthumous CD releases hitting vinyl, helping to fill out collections bit by bit, but this one wasn't particularly memorable musically. The packaging, pressing, silk screening, and sound quality are all top-notch. Just not the most outstanding works from an otherwise extraordinary artist.
In my opinion, this 2024 RSD Zappa release is a real letdown. You might wanna skip this one, it's a total turkey.
