  • Heep's Solid Wetton-Led Gem

HOLY CRAP, THIS IS AN AMAZING HEEP RECORD. Alright, it ain't like the first four or so, but it's still got that certain magic. John Wetton kills it on this one. Side 1's the winner for me. Track 1's got this bizarre atonal singing by Wetton, but honestly, it's one of the coolest bits on the whole album. If you're into Heep's poppier stuff, "Misty Eyes" is your jam. And man, side 1's closer, "Midnight," has some seriously passionate guitar work. Side 2 kicks off with "can't keep a good band down," which is a bit cheesy, but it's a catchy tune. Just give the album a spin, it's solid, haha. Oh, and that album cover's pretty weird too.

  • Eyecatching but noisy collection

Quite a few pops and crackles, even after a good clean with an ultrasonic machine. This picture disc collection is definitely more for the eyes than the ears!
