At 12,50 EUR on amzon, there's not much to comment on... I'm usually a bit sceptic about colored vinyls, but this one's a solid pressing; great quality and zero surface noise.
This is fantastic. Not a peep, completely quiet. For just $14, it's an amazing deal. I'd love it even more if it came with the original case, though.
This album is a real revelation. Just like others have pointed out, it's a perfect starting point for exploring Sun Ra and his Arkestra. Plus, it's an amazing deal since it's essentially three albums rolled into one: tracks A and B make up "Jazz In Silhouette," most of track C is actually another album ("Sound Sun Pleasure"), and the remaining part of C plus track D are bonus tracks. It's fantastic!
this is the arkestra at their best... a great starting point for new listeners. stunning cosmic melodies. the record's pressed nice and flat, and i'm really feeling that blue cover
Could be a misprint batch, has anyone else encountered this? Highly doubtful it's just a single case. My copy's tracklist is all messed up, and instead of what's displayed on the records and sleeves, it plays like this:SIDE A: Images, Enlightenment, Horoscope, Blues at MidnightSIDE B: Velvet, Saturn, Hours After, Ancient Ethiopia
