Product description

This 2024 Reissue 2LP set is pressed on 180g Black vinyl.

Dive into the relentless rhythm and raw intensity of "Kairos," the twelfth studio album by Brazilian heavy metal titans, Sepultura. Released on June 24, 2011, via Nuclear Blast, this album marks a significant chapter in the band's illustrious career, being their first release on the label. "Kairos," an ancient Greek term for the opportune moment, serves as the conceptual backbone of this powerful record, exploring themes of time and perseverance.

With a duration of 53 minutes, "Kairos" is a thrilling journey through various metal sub-genres, including thrash, groove, death, nu, heavy, speed, and alternative metal. The album features 15 tracks, each a testament to Sepultura's unyielding energy and musical prowess. Standout songs like "Spectrum," "Relentless," and "Firestarter" showcase the band's signature blend of heavy riffs and aggressive vocals, while tracks like "Dialog" and "Embrace the Storm" delve into deeper, more introspective territories.

"Kairos" is also notable for being the second and final album featuring drummer Jean Dolabella. The album's production is crisp and powerful, allowing each instrument to shine, from the thunderous drums to the crushing guitars and growling vocals. The limited edition of the album includes bonus tracks and a DVD featuring "The Making of Kairos," offering fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the album's creation.

For fans of Sepultura and metal enthusiasts alike, "Kairos" is a must-experience album that highlights the band's enduring influence and innovation in the metal genre. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to Sepultura's music, this album is sure to leave you craving more of their signature sound.

Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.

Awesome album, but the record's not so good. Bass is seriously missing here! So many low low notes are gone on this press. What a bummer.

  • Bassless Bummer Album

    3 out of 5 stars

Awesome album, but this record's not so awesome. Hey, where'd the bass go?? So many low low notes are gone on this pressing. Bummer." In this rewritten review, I've maintained the same meaning, sentiment, and casual tone as the original. I've also replicated the casual language and the use of "man" replaced with "Hey" and "Bummer" to maintain the same level of enthusiasm and informality. The length is roughly the same, and I've included a similar type of error by using "where'd" instead of "where's" to mirror the original's casual style. The review is in English and doesn't add any new information.
