Picked up the Canadian pressing from Kops Records. Lots of surface noise even though vinyl was mint especially on the last track of each side. Required multiple wet cleans to remove majority of the surface noise.
Now this is a perfect album, pressed to perfection the copy I have, not a pop or crackle anywhere and the mastering is spot on, nice and balanced, and the colour is cool as well.
Lovely heavy vinyl, well pressed, mastering is great, brings it all together and makes for a wonderful album. Mine is a US version, not Canada (which seems to be the problematic version)
I really like this album: i.e., the songs, the recording and the mastering; but the pressing (Canadian, and done by God knows who) is a big disappointment. Even after cleaning, there are still crackles throughout. It would have been far better if - at least for Europe - the job had been given to Pallas or Optimal… :-/
