Revisiting this album after many years, I must say I'm genuinely impressed with how much I'm digging it now. The song Blue Agent on side A is hands down my top pick. Monomania comes across as way more noise rock than I recalled. All in all, I'd definitely recommend giving it a spin.
Deerhunter's album is fantastic, except for Monomania. It's a joy to listen to, but it's a bit surprising after the rich and incredible Halcyon Digest. Still, tracks like The Missing, Dream Captain, T.H.M., and others are absolutely worth the cost. Catchy tunes and future hits!!
This album is absolutely fantastic and truly shines on vinyl. I vividly recall playing it often on CD when it was first released, but the vinyl version offers a more immersive, deeper experience with every instrument's sound standing out. It's a beautiful, chaotic symphony. One of Deerhunter’s finest works.
