The vinyl I purchased had black spots pressed into it, but I managed to swap it out and the new one sounds fantastic.
From the moment it dropped, this album has been a favorite of mine, and I've been eager to get it on vinyl. After a few hold-ups, it's finally here in physical form. There are some tweaks to the audio, though... Side A is identical to the streaming version, so no complaints there. But Side B is a whole different mix. Starting with "glow," they've pressed an alternate take, kinda like the one from his Rooftop Live performance. "i saw you" uses the live vocals from Glastonbury, "where will i be" & "peace u need" are the same, and "backseat" has a slight tweak. Personally, I'm not a fan of this version of "glow." It feels like an early demo and doesn't have the same vibe as the current "glow." As for the sound quality, there's a bit of light surface noise with minor clicks on "just stand there.
The whole thing is quite pleasant. The vinyl's quality is pretty decent. There's a bunch of stuff on it that ain't on the digital version. Glow is way different and many of the vocal parts are changed up. From what I think, I'd definitely grab this.
An abode to reside in, breathtaking adventure. Go on a journey and tune in.
this might just be the most visually stunning gatefold I own, and the sound quality is consistently awesome too!!
