Pressing sounds great. Tight clean bass, crisp vocals, and the other production elements sounds really good too. Awesome that this is cut at 45. Mine arrived pretty clean out of the box; I still cleaned all the discs and put them in inner sleeves. All discs played very quiet with no surface noise. No issues with warps. Very glad to have this.
Very crisp and clean sound with no surface noise. J Cole's vocals sound crystal clear and I love that it's pressed to be played at 45rpm, which I believe is to this record's benefit. The beats sound incredible with strong bass. Sure, it doesn't come in plastic inner sleeves, but thats why I keep a bunch of my own. I honestly enjoy having the printed inners, and just slide my plastic sleeves into them. Its a bit of a tight fit, but all of the printed inners still fit in the box pretty comfortably. I'm proud to have this record in my collection.
This Pressing Sounds Fantastic to me, no extra noise and every track sounds crisp and clear. The packaging is a nice box set and you can tell it was made with care. This is definitely my album of the year so far, gonna be spinning it religiously.
Just got this record recently and I’ve been collecting a few to start my collection and I’ll just say, I won’t ever regret buying this edition and I love the small details on it. I also appreciate that it’s real shellac and the fact that it came pretty clean. Didn’t appreciate it took over a week to get here when the album came out but great album nonetheless!!
There's a lot I like about this release but there's a few things that irritate me. First, putting these in printed inners the way they did. If you're going to go through the effort of having JNH cut the record, and it's a well mastered project, pressing it at Conectiv and putting the records in these printed inners doesn't make sense. Records came out pretty dirty but overall the cuts sound great and there's minimal if any surface noise. Very happy they went with JNH for this. Closer to 3.5/5 than 4 but overall surprisingly well done and for $60 shipped for a 4LP project can't complain.
