Product description

This is a 2023 Reissue Remastered released as a LP.

Dive into the debut album of Tears For Fears, "The Hurting," released on March 7, 1983, under EMI. This synthpop and new wave masterpiece spans a captivating 65 minutes, offering a compelling journey through the human psyche. • Brilliant 2019 Supermarket Pressing

    5 out of 5 stars
    ceavvgkujaviJanuary 5, 2026United States🇺🇸

Swapped my grubby old UK first press from the 80s for this 2019 supermarket deal at 25 quid, not without some hesitation. Couldn't be happier, it's a brilliant copy, fantastic pressing, flat, quiet and really brings out the dynamics, opening up the soundstage right from the first track, amazing.

Just as it says on the cover...DIGITALLY MASTERED AUDIO. Came across a pristine copy, and it's packed with incredible details. Super pleased with this version.

  • Clear Sound, Weak Mastering

    4 out of 5 stars
    BgjuriOctober 27, 2025United States🇺🇸

The sound quality here is truly impressive - each element is crystal clear and well-defined. That said, the mastering on this record feels a bit... lacking? There's not much depth in the bass, and the mix seems to sit mostly in the mid-range. It's not terrible, just not what I was anticipating. Still, I'd recommend it, as I've heard the original release isn't anything special.
