  • Rare Japanese Original Pressing

    5 out of 5 stars
    huiquol93November 26, 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

Absolutely endorse this one, it's truly a rare and early Japanese original pressing from '65 (the release date isn't listed here). It's an amazing sounding reissue by Victor Record Company Japan, you won't be let down! Fantastic session and pressing, Victor really nailed it with Prestige material, even in the '70s.

  • Ervin's Magnum Opus Shines

    5 out of 5 stars
    myuxhibpaqvuySeptember 19, 2024United States🇺🇸

Among all the "books" that Ervin put out in the mid-60s, this one truly stands out as his magnum opus. Sure, others might have a different opinion. The rest of the albums are fantastic, absolutely, but in this one, Ervin and the band nail it perfectly. Plus, the Van Gelder production just fits the arrangements so well—all those Coltrane sessions RVG did for Impulse! really show here!

  • Ervin's Vibrant, Intimate Prestige Pressing

    5 out of 5 stars
    VakyufakhAugust 5, 2024United States🇺🇸

This pressing is bursting with life, full of depth, color, and energy, yet it can go eerily quiet. Booker Ervin's performance feels like he's right there in my living space. Just like the rest of the AP Prestige series, it'll be reprinted, so I'd suggest placing a pre-order to secure your spot in the next batch.
