Thrilled to have this on vinyl at last! The vinyl sounds amazing and so clear.
Kickstarting my VMP collection was this very release, and while many of their records sound fantastic, none can hold a candle to the extraordinary quality of this one. I'm really hoping VMP brings this back as a regular offering because more folks should be able to get their hands on it without having to pay those crazy reseller prices.
I received this today and took it for a spin while we were getting dinner ready. Amazing! I can hardly wait to sit down with the stereo and give it a proper, focused listen. No problems with my copies. It's perfectly quiet, with no dust or marks. This might just turn out to be a reference quality album. Last summer / fall, I bought VMP's Fetch the Bolt Cutters and When the Pawn, and thought both were fantastic. I didn't get why people were complaining about them compared to VMP's Tidal. Now I get it. The packaging and presentation here are way beyond what I expected. The art print, the gatefold sleeve, the nice booklet and overall packaging are outstanding. I now wish they had given When the Pawn this kind of treatment too. Purchasing this album is a no-brainer. Grab it while you still can.
This whole album is like a cozy, musical embrace. It simply can't be topped.
Wow, the sound is incredible! Pressed spotless and flat. It's so dynamic and has a great soundstage. They really nailed this one!
