The sound quality is truly outstanding. Not a single pop or hiss, it's dynamic, and it's exactly what you'd hope for from a top-notch pressing!
This CD's tracks are absolutely top-notch, but unfortunately, the squashed sound and that odd bass boost really put me off from listening to it much outside my car. It's really strange how the Endgame CD, released in 2009, sounds so much better. In short, this CD is packed with masterpieces, but because of its issues, I'd recommend grabbing the 2007 German vinyl version instead—it's probably the best way to enjoy this fantastic album!
BMG's vinyls always come filthy! I genuinely have no clue what's happening during production! There's no quality control whatsoever! But after a thorough, pro cleaning, the record sounds crisp and awesome!
I can't figure out what they were goin' for w the cover art, but man, this album sounds amazing. I'm really feelin' this record and this pressing is top-notch, but when I compare it straight to the CD, I gotta say, I like the vinyl better.
This album has never sounded so incredible! The bass and dynamics are top-notch. It's well-balanced, rich, and never harsh like many metal records tend to be. The music itself has aged remarkably well, in my view. The vinyl did have some factory dust and minor surface scratches that didn't affect playback after a good cleaning.
