I'm absolutely in love with my version. The singing sounds incredibly crisp and amazing.
This version is the one. When I say the vinyl is quiet, I literally stopped to see if the needle had dropped all the way. Amazing bass, crisp vocals, excellent mastering. The packaging is shiny and the gatefold is gorgeous. Out of all the versions, I reckon this is the best. Mariah really delivered.
Just like others have mentioned, the packaging quality is absolutely fantastic, I'd only ever seen cardboard this thick and strong in Japanese releases. The vinyl's blush hue is gorgeous and perfectly suits the album. The sound is crisp and impactful, particularly the bass in Type Dangerous, which really caught my attention on vinyl, something I hadn't picked up on while streaming. My only wish is that it included the version of Sugar Sweet featuring Kehlani and Shenseea, which I prefer to the solo track, but I suppose the vinyl was pressed before they were added to the song. All in all, I'm really happy with Queen Mariah.
Music labels could cut costs big time if they all used card this sturdy for their album covers (thick heavy duty stuff) no more seam tears so less returns because of this issue.
I'm shocked that the cheapest CD of this on Discogs is priced at $85 ($93 with shipping and tax). What in the world are these sellers thinking, asking that much when it's listed on Amazon for just $12.95??? It's absolutely crazy!
