  • Delightful Miles Davis Collection

    3 out of 5 stars
    SebfWoiz13 May 2025United States🇺🇸

In my opinion, the music featured in this collection is truly delightful - some outstanding performances, and it's undeniably Miles. But I'm no jazz expert, so who am I to judge? Plus, it's a super quiet pressing; no issues with the white vinyl here.

  • Not My Taste

The recording's quality is decent. As for the music, not my cup of tea. I doubt I'll give this record another play.

  • Dimples and Distortion

    2 out of 5 stars
    mkaiqogepemmotq14 May 2024United States🇺🇸

Incredible! My record is covered in dimples -- entire tracks filled with them! Never encountered something like this before! You can distinctly hear a tapping/thumbing sound with each spin. Aside from that, I'm noticing some distortion on the cymbals (tizzy) in various tracks, and occasionally on Miles's trumpet. I've also got an EU pressing now, which is mastered quieter and doesn't have any of the distortion; it seems to have a bit more depth too. It's quite loudable. Much better pressing as well (Pallas), although mine also has one spot of non-fill that ruins one track. Otherwise I'd strongly suggest the EU press. Instead, I'll have to point you towards the CD/download! lol
