I'm truly at a loss with those who say the sound quality here is not up to par. I can't speak to what was done in post-production, but with Visconti admitting that 75% of L&D was overdubbed, it must've been a rough job. I just gave a listen to the UK 1st press (that withdrawn version with the cop car intro) side by side with this release, and I gotta say, this one isn't sonically lacking compared to the original. In fact, this version feels even more alive! Who knows, but this could've been an even bigger hit than the original L&D. And it's definitely more "live"!
