The shop where I purchased this item mentioned it's from 1969. I'm not certain about that info, though.
Hands down, this is my all-time favorite Band record, blowing their well-known debut, Big Pink, out of the water. It's an absolute masterpiece from beginning to end, with not a single weak track. The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down is simply one of the greatest songs ever crafted and delivered. Alongside Cripple Creek, you've got gems like Jemima Surrender, Rockin' Chair, and Rag Mama Rag that really shine. This version comes with some bonus tracks. Get Up Jake is an amazing tune that deserved a spot on the main album. The others are just alternate versions of songs already included. I can't recommend this album enough. The Band pioneered a unique blend of folk, pop, and rock that's yet to be matched by many, even by themselves.
