As many folks have noted, it's a tad flat, but with some EQ tweaking, it sounds phenomenal. I owned this on CD and Cassette too, and they were all a bit flat back in '94. This album has always been a little flat since day one. You'd always need to boost the bass or use an EQ V curve. I was just a kid of 12 when it dropped and had the original copies. Back then, I spun them on a Pioneer SX-780 with a Pioneer CT-1170W cassette deck and some no-name Aiwa CD player in the mid-90s. Nowadays, I'm playing the vinyl on a Pioneer PLX-1000 with an Ortofon bronze 2m cartridge.
I'm just wondering why they had to make this box's surface that 'touch-sensitive' with lamination! You can see every single fingerprint on it.
Update later on. As it happened, it needed a good clean. Had to apply it again for it to really work. Now, the drums are hitting hard. Amazing soundstage.
Wow, this sounds INCREDIBLE! Not a single pop or crack, and the audio quality is absolutely flawless. It's a straight-up 10/10 album on a 10/10 vinyl.
This record sounds fantastic, I've got no issues with it. It's way better than streaming and there's barely any hiss. I'd absolutely suggest this pressing.
