Product description

This is a 2024 Reissue Repress released as a LP.

Nirvana's seminal album, Nevermind, is a groundbreaking masterpiece that has left an indelible mark on the music world. Released on 26 September 1991 through Geffen, this 49-minute sonic journey is a testament to the band's innovative spirit and genre-defying sound. Blending the raw energy of grunge with the infectious hooks of rock, Nevermind is a cohesive and captivating listen that has captivated audiences for generations.

From the opening chords of 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' to the haunting closing notes of 'Endless, Nameless', Nirvana's sophomore effort is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, textures, and moods. With tracks like 'In Bloom', 'Come As You Are', and 'Lithium', the band showcases their ability to craft soaring melodies and introspective lyrics that resonate deeply with listeners. Meanwhile, songs like 'Breed', 'Territorial Pissings', and 'Stay Away' demonstrate Nirvana's capacity for unbridled intensity and unapologetic ferocity.

Throughout its 12 tracks, Nevermind is a masterclass in dynamic range, veering effortlessly from the gentle, acoustic introspection of 'Something In The Way' to the frenetic, punk-infused chaos of 'Drain You' and 'Lounge Act'. With Nevermind, Nirvana has created an album that is both a time capsule of the early 1990s alternative scene and a timeless, genre-transcending work of art that continues to inspire and influence new generations of music fans.

  • Sealed but Poor Quality

Grabbed a sealed version, audio quality is really bad - the printed sticker's all smudged

  • Vibrant Sound, Missing Poster

    hajhaemDecember 2, 2025United States🇺🇸

The poster was missing from my order, but the sound is incredible and this is hands-down the most vibrant record I've ever laid eyes on. Randy Merrill's mastering is truly top-notch, and I've got the Bernie Grundman version to back that up too.

  • Pristine Nirvana Album Worth the Cost

    5 out of 5 stars
    ddibvveyacagiNovember 26, 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

Tracking down a pristine copy of this album was quite the costly endeavor, but it was absolutely worth every cent once it finally spun on my turntable. I was initially worried that Bernie might have gone overboard with the audio enhancements, which I definitely didn't want. However, those concerns vanished as soon as "Teen Spirit" kicked in, and the entire record played magnificently from start to finish. It sounds just like I've always wanted to hear it, only slightly improved in nearly every aspect. The snare hits are loud, crisp, and punchy. The bass guitar is tight and well-defined, never overpowering or muddy. The lead guitar still cuts through with plenty of compression, though it seems Bernie might have slightly reduced the top end to avoid any harshness. The softer tracks like "Polly" and "Something In The Way" sound absolutely stunning on this LP. There's so much space in the mix, with Kurt's vocals clear and detailed, blending seamlessly with his gentle, yet perfectly articulated guitar playing. The midrange is particularly impressive on these tracks, showcasing Grundman's outstanding mastering skills. And kudos to RTI, which, in my opinion, remains the best and most consistent pressing plant out there. While the record didn't look flawless out of the sleeve, it had an exceptionally quiet surface noise and played perfectly flat. With the superb sound quality, this might be the best I've ever heard this album, and I'm thrilled to finally have it in my collection.

About Nirvana

Nirvana, the iconic American rock band from Aberdeen, Washington, stormed onto the music scene in 1987 and forever changed the landscape of alternative rock. Founded by the legendary Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic, Nirvana's raw, punk-inspired sound and anti-establishment ethos captured the spirit of a generation. Their breakthrough album, "Nevermind," released in 1991, introduced the world to the grunge movement with the anthemic "Smells Like Teen Spirit." With Dave Grohl on drums, the band's... Read more
