Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.

Absolutely stunning visuals and audio. BUT no lyrics insert is a bummer. The words are so important for this record.

I struggled to enjoy it, but it's worth the effort.

These remasters look absolutely stunning, and that picture book is such a lovely extra! The quality is top-notch.

  • Spiderland Box Set Delight

Normally, I don't go for box sets, but this is Spiderland (and an essential for any Slint enthusiast). The remastering is fantastic, the print quality is perfect. Then there are the outtakes...super cool. And the documentary just puts the icing on that amazing cake with a really sweet cherry.

  • Best Sound Ever

    5 out of 5 stars
    heqmczNovember 2, 2025United States🇺🇸

Since its release, I've owned this version, and among all the others, it remains the best in terms of sound. It's incredibly open and dynamic, with a very 'live' feel. The 2004 John Golden pressing is a close second and has its own unique qualities. It's a tad darker, but it offers excellent control and texture in the louder sections, along with a nice 'room sound'. Both are fantastic and, in my opinion, outperform the 2014/2022 mastering by Bob Weston.

Pioneers of post-rock and math rock, their discography is marked by two seminal albums: the debut "Tweez" and the iconic "Spiderland," released in 1991. "Spiderland," in particular... Read more
