Black Country, New Road, often abbreviated to BCNR, is an English rock band that emerged from the vibrant Cambridge music scene in 2018. Known for their experimental and maximalist approach, the band blends elements of art rock, chamber pop, post-punk, and post-rock to create a unique and captivating sound. Originally formed by Tyler Hyde, Lewis Evans, Georgia Ellery, May Kershaw, Charlie Wayne, and Isaac Wood, the group added guitarist Luke Mark in 2019. After Isaac Wood's departure in 2022, the band continued to evolve, highlighting the combined vocal talents of Hyde, Ellery, and Kershaw on their third studio album, "Forever Howlong." With a collective creative spirit and a dynamic live presence, Black Country, New Road has garnered a dedicated following and critical acclaim, making them a standout act in the contemporary music landscape.
