My copy sounds awesome… but the second disc has TWO sides that are side C :( Noticed a few other reviews with the same problem.
This version is merely 3 - 5% superior to the original. It's essentially just a different mastering job, and the K2 tech doesn't really make a significant enough difference to justify this version over the original. In fact, you might be better off sticking with the original since it has the authentic mastering. That said, it's still a slight improvement, but only noticeable when you A B test them side by side.
this is definitly one of the best sounding albums i own. its incredibly heavy, the mix is fantastic, and there's hardly any hiss
This album's tracklist is fantastic! I can't find a single song I dislike, and there are plenty that I'm absolutely in love with. My copy has a tiny scratch over "Out of the Woods," but you can't hear it. So far, the only issue I've noticed was during "Bad Blood." The bass is super heavy, and I think it might be pushing the limits of what vinyl can handle. Apart from that, the sound quality is amazing!
It's not terrible, there's a tad more surface noise than I'd prefer but it's also pretty affordable for a double LP, so it kinda makes sense. The highs can be a bit harsh at times but I still dig the master. Can't complain too much when it's around $25CAD for 2LPs.
