Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.

  • US and EU Release Timing

Are the US and EU getting the same release?

  • White Vinyl Tour Gem

Audio quality is fantastic, though I haven't got any other pressings to contrast it with. I grabbed mine during their final tour from a merch booth. The white vinyl was a pleasant shock!

  • Black Keys' Finest Work

    5 out of 5 stars

The details are incorrect. It ought to state: 3x vinyl. But what an amazing album. In my opinion, this is the Black Keys' finest work.

  • Black Keys' Forgettable Effort

    2 out of 5 stars
    George MartinelliNovember 3, 2025

Once you strip away the wit, cleverness, smarts, heart, feeling, and substance from The Black Keys' music, what's left? Not much, you'd assume. Just shy of being a hollow shell of a band putting out a vacant album, this record is catchy, enjoyable, and lively, but you can't help but feel it's going to wear out its welcome real fast. The masses will adore this album, just as they do anything that's mindless, easy to swallow, and disposable. Consequently, the accolades this record is receiving aren't surprising, just typical reactions to an album that's instant and fun but ultimately lacking in real depth, which is a real bummer. Carney's drumming is repetitive and bland, Auerbach's guitar playing is at times excellent but everything feels like a cheap knockoff of The Black Keys. The vocals throughout lack sincerity, wit, or heart, which we usually associate with Auerbach. The Black Keys have all the potential, all the skill, but this seems doomed to be remembered as an empty, forgettable album, and even worse, it'll probably be the one everyone remembers them for. Is it soulless, forgettable, and bland enough to win a Grammy? Maybe. Edit: Wow, I was tough on this. I'm not deleting or changing the review, but just want to say that while I still agree with most of it, it's not quite as bad as I initially thought, and there are a few standout tracks that lift it out of the doldrums a bit. It's like Scissor Sisters trying to make a Black Keys album.

  • Fix Vinyl Count Mention

    Anders JarvisOctober 29, 2025United States🇺🇸

Could you fix the header for this release? It mentions '2 x Vinyl', but it should say '3 x Vinyl' instead.

Product description

This 2022 Reissue Remastered LP is pressed on White vinyl.

Dive into the raw, electrifying sounds of "El Camino," the seventh studio album by The Black Keys, released on December 6, 2011, via Nonesuch Records. This high-energy collection of blues rock, garage rock, and modern blues tracks is a testament to the duo's prowess and their collaboration with producer Danger Mouse. Recorded in Nashville during the spring of 2011, "El Camino" is a vibrant and unapologetically fun journey through the gritty, soulful world of The Black Keys.

With a runtime of just 38 minutes, this album packs a punch with 11 powerful tracks, including standout songs like "Lonely Boy," "Gold on the Ceiling," and "Little Black Submarines." The album's production, helmed by Danger Mouse, shines with a distinctive, retro-futuristic vibe that complements the duo's signature raw energy. "El Camino" is a celebration of the band's growth since their previous album, "Brothers," and showcases their ability to blend classic blues influences with modern rock sensibilities.

The album's tracklist is a rollercoaster of high-octane rockers and soulful ballads, each song crafted with the duo's signature intensity and charm. From the opening riff of "Lonely Boy" to the closing notes of "Mind Eraser," "El Camino" is a non-stop party that highlights The Black Keys' unique sound and their knack for creating infectious, timeless music. Whether you're a longtime fan or new to their music, "El Camino" is an essential addition to any rock enthusiast's collection.
