Terrible audio quality. Way too much bass, and the hi-hats sound all messed up. This vinyl version is definitely not as well mastered as the digital album.
For an awesome sounding version of this album, this is the one to get. It's got great dynamics and a wide soundstage, making the songs really pop. The hi-hats aren't as harsh as in other pressings I've tried. With the price dropping to about the same as that standard reissue junk...it's a no-brainer if you care about sound quality.
I was a tad let down by this record. Meteora is one of my all-time favorite albums, but this pressing has some really harsh highs that sound like a low-quality MP3. I converted it for on-the-go listening and spent over an hour trying to fix those high frequencies. While adjusting the EQ, I noticed that even the Spotify version had smoother highs than this pressing, which is a bit embarrassing.
This record is an absolute disaster in terms of sound quality. That damn hi-hat is way too loud and ruins the whole thing. By the time I got to 'Easier to Run,' I was completely lost - no depth, no clarity. It just sounds like complete garbage.
