How do we keep reviews authentic?

Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.

  • Audio Quality Delightful

    5 out of 5 stars
    Aurora PrietoJanuary 6, 2026United States🇺🇸

The audio quality is fantastic! It genuinely seemed like i was experiencing this album for the very first time. Strongly suggest it!

  • Poor 90's Vinyl Pressing

    2 out of 5 stars
    Karen KarlssonDecember 9, 2025United States🇺🇸

This pressing is absolutely dreadful. From what I've heard, it seems like they just took the CD master and used that for the lacquer cut, which is why it's so quiet. Back then, nobody at the big record labels gave a hoot about vinyl quality—most didn't even bother pressing vinyl in the late 90’s. This is likely one of the worst times for vinyl production, and it dragged on into the early 2000’s. This release made me steer clear of original pressings from that time. Most recordings after 2000 were mastered digitally, if not recorded entirely digitally, so there's no real sound quality advantage to getting an original pressing from that era. And ironically, they're quite rare due to low production numbers, making them quite pricey for what's often a very disappointing listening experience.

  • Amazing Split Experience

    5 out of 5 stars
    Alice WoodsSeptember 15, 2025United States🇺🇸

Amazing, that's the only word I can think of, really nice split between all the parts!

  • Sound Quality Disappointment

    2 out of 5 stars
    Pierre BryantAugust 1, 2025

This one's a letdown in the sound department, quite muffled. If you're after the original '99 version, go for the superior EU MPO pressing. Not what I'd anticipate from Gateway Mastering. It's like night and day when you compare it to the stellar sound of the original US The Colour and the Shape (that one's got the Gateway LC in the deadwax, too).

  • Utterly Breathtaking Album

    5 out of 5 stars
    Faye MarinoJuly 25, 2025United States🇺🇸

This album is utterly breathtaking and exceeds expectations in every way. If you don't own it yet, go ahead and purchase it without any doubt.

Product description

This 2015 Reissue Repress 2LP set is pressed on 180g vinyl.

"Foo Fighters' 'There Is Nothing Left To Lose,' released on November 2, 1999, under RCA Records, is a powerful blend of rock, post-grunge, and alternative rock that solidified the band's place in the grunge revival of the late '90s. Clocking in at just under 47 minutes, this album is a tight, energetic collection of tracks that showcase the band's raw talent and emotional depth.

The album opens with 'Stacked Actors,' a gritty, guitar-driven track that sets the tone for the rest of the record. 'Breakout' and 'Learn to Fly' follow, offering a mix of heavy riffs and melodic hooks that have become staples of the Foo Fighters' sound. 'Gimme Stitches' and 'Generator' continue the momentum, with powerful vocals and driving rhythms that make it impossible to sit still.

The second half of the album is no less impressive, with tracks like 'Aurora' and 'Live-In Skin' showcasing the band's ability to blend raw emotion with hard-hitting rock. 'Next Year' and 'Headwires' offer a more introspective look at the human experience, while 'Ain't It The Life' and 'M.I.A.' bring the album to a close with a bang, leaving the listener breathless and wanting more.

Throughout 'There Is Nothing Left To Lose,' Foo Fighters deliver a powerful, unapologetic sound that is both timeless and relevant. This album is a testament to the band's ability to create music that resonates with fans and critics alike, and it remains a standout in their discography."

About Foo Fighters

Foo Fighters, the iconic American rock band, burst onto the scene in 1994, born from the creative genius of former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. What started as a solo project has evolved into a powerhouse of alt-rock, blending post-grunge and alternative rock influences with Grohl's distinctive melody-driven songwriting. With a discography spanning eleven studio albums and numerous EPs, Foo Fighters have crafted anthems that resonate deeply with fans worldwide. Their music is a testament to raw e... Read more
