Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
The sound quality on the primary tracks is fantastic. However, the bonus tracks are utterly useless, consisting of basic remixes that alter the drum and piano sounds, omit certain elements, and leave you questioning why they even included them. Fortunately, they're not techno or rap remixes like some previous releases in this series.
I'm currently enjoying this record. I bought it brand new, and it was and still is flawless. It's perfectly flat, quiet, and the packaging is absolutely stunning. I also own the Japanese SHM CD version. As a huge Queen fan, I can't see any reason to want a different vinyl. The musical quality is excellent, with a well-balanced sound. The vocals and guitar are simply beautiful. As for those "bad pressing" comments, well... if you bought it new, why not just return it? I never get that. So, obviously, you'll need to get this used now, which means any issues like warps, skips, or crackles have already been dealt with. Just know that, in my opinion, this is a really, really well-mixed record. Seeing these reviews, I guess I got the one in a million...lol. I'm listening to "Let Us Cling Together" right now, and I have goosebumps. The chorus is surrounding me, and that beautiful ending solo is quiet all the way to the dead wax...just incredible.
I'm not particularly impressed with this 2015 Hollywood Queen remaster. It's not overly loud or distorted, but there are some harsh 'S' sounds and the audio quality is just okay, nowhere near as good as the excellent 2015 Queen II LP remaster.
I must say, it's really quite good. They've managed to nail it. Definitely give it a go.
This one's the real deal. Got the new AAA pressing, and it's got that gorgeous, warm sound. Bass is present, but not as over-the-top as that more clinical 2015 remaster (which is still awesome, by the way). But this one just hits different, you know?
