My copy sounds great, can't complain for the price. I own several original pressing Herbie Hancock albums including Head hunters and this repress hangs with all of them.
Aside from the surface noise that runs throughout the entire record, it sounds pretty damn good. I've cleaned this many times with the hopes I'd be able to remove the noise...no dice. At any rate, $19 for a fun listen despite the noise, is worth it.
Sounds nice and clean. Not super warm, but still a great listen nonetheless. You can’t beat it for the price.
"Direct Disk" is to LP what SACD is to CD. Incredible dynamics. Own one to understand (and this is a good one to own)
My pressing is great. The gatefold is very nice and authentic. There are a few minor ticks/pops here and there (though nothing repetitive), but most records these days have that. Most importantly, it sounds excellent. I can't complain. Glad I picked up this one. Been waiting years for it!
This is a 2019 Reissue released as a LP.
