Product description

This 2024 Reissue Remastered Repress 25th Anniversary Edition 2LP set is housed in a gatefold.

Unveiled on New Year’s Day 1996, DJ Shadow’s Endtroducing… is a landmark in downtempo and trip-hop, meticulously crafted from an overwhelming archive of samples to create an entirely new sonic identity. Clocking in at just over an hour, the album unfolds with a hypnotic, cinematic flow—from the soul-searching beats of “Best Foot Forward” to the sprawling, atmospheric medleys like “Stem / Long Stem” and the haunting repetitions of “Transmission” series. Tracks like “Midnight In A Perfect World” and “Organ Donor” balance eerie melancholy with rhythmic precision, while the satirical edge of “Why Hip-Hop Sucks In '96” sharpens its cultural critique. With genres blurring and moods shifting, Endtroducing… isn’t just a collection of songs—it’s a masterclass in sonic alchemy, redefining what an album could be through its sheer inventiveness and depth.

How do we keep reviews authentic?

Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.

  • Must-Have Masterpiece

Pay no mind to the bad reviews. My copy sounds great. This album's a masterpiece, you gotta have it.

  • Best Sounding Half-Speed Record

    5 out of 5 stars
    Tiago PeñaJanuary 2, 2026United States🇺🇸

This is my initial half-speed record, and it's hands-down the finest sounding one in my entire collection.

  • Worthwhile Upgrade

    5 out of 5 stars
    Heather KokDecember 23, 2025United States🇺🇸

Alright, so I figured I'd share my thoughts since I'm listening to this album right now. It's absolutely fantastic! Way better than that other pressing I had, the one from Europe. The sound is super clean, no weird pops except the ones in the tracks. The dynamic range seems really solid to me. The bass is great, and the highs are crisp with no weird distortions. I'd say this upgrade was totally worth it for me.

  • Gem of a Copy

    5 out of 5 stars
    Terry HamiltonDecember 9, 2025United States🇺🇸

Fantastic copy of a groundbreaking piece. This is an absolute gem in my compilation.

  • Disappointing Favorite Album Pressing

    4 out of 5 stars
    Lena SantosDecember 9, 2025United States🇺🇸

Quite awful pressing for one of my all-time favorite albums. A bit disappointing, but at least I've got it. Sounds like crap in a can, though.
