Product description

This 2LP set is housed in a gatefold.

Andrew Bird's Noble Beast is a captivating masterpiece that showcases the artist's unique blend of chamber pop, baroque pop, and indie folk. Released on 2 February 2009 via Bella Union, this enchanting album spans 1 hour and 1 minute, taking listeners on a journey through 15 intricately crafted tracks. From the opening notes of 'Oh No' to the closing melodies of 'Section 8 City', Andrew Bird's distinctive sound weaves a spellbinding narrative that explores the intricacies of human emotion and experience.

With tracks like 'Masterswarm' and 'Fitz and the Dizzy Spells', Andrew Bird demonstrates his remarkable ability to craft infectious, whistle-worthy melodies that linger long after the music fades. Meanwhile, songs such as 'Tenuousness' and 'Nomenclature' showcase his penchant for lyrical complexity and poetic depth. The album's eclectic mix of sounds and styles is perfectly balanced, with each track complementing the last to create a cohesive and engaging whole.

Throughout Noble Beast, Andrew Bird's innovative use of instrumentation and vocal harmonies creates a rich, layered sound that is at once intimate and expansive. Whether he is exploring the whimsical ('Not a Robot, but a Ghost') or the melancholic ('Natural Disaster'), Andrew Bird's music is infused with a sense of wonder and curiosity that is impossible to resist. As a result, Noble Beast is an album that rewards repeated listens, revealing new textures and nuances with each play.

The tunes are fantastic! I must say, I'm genuinely impressed with the sound quality. My copy appears to be in decent shape, though it's a tad bent, but not enough to mess with the playback. It's a bit on the loud side, though.

The tunes are fantastic. I was happily surprised at how excellent it sounds. My copy appears to be okay, though a tad bent, but not enough to mess with playback. It's a bit loud.

Awesome tunes. Sadly, this is a really poor pressing and wouldn't suggest it.

  • Great Sounding, Unnecessary Split

My copy is.... pretty great actually. Excellent sounding and flat. Doesn't really seem like it needed to be split across two records though.

I gotta say, my version is... really good, honestly. Sounds fantastic and smooth. Though, I'm not sure why they had to put it on two discs.
